Sinopsis:
Tras varios fracasos amorosos, Mercé y Raúl se conocen. Mercé (Adriana Ugarte) es una chica reflexiva que le da muchas vueltas a las cosas. Hace un año que está soltera y no tiene intención de cambiar su situación. Un día va con su hermana a ver a una vidente, que le dice que el hombre de su vida está a punto de aparecer, pero que de ella depende que su amor dure o no. Tras la visita, se quedan encerradas en el ascensor de unos grandes almacenes y así es como conoce a Raúl (Hugo Silva), un bombero que las ayuda a salir. Mercé y Raúl se enamoran, pero ella tiene miedo, porque en sus anteriores relaciones siempre se ha comportado como una bruja paranoica y manipuladora; tampoco él ha tenido suerte con las chicas porque siempre habían tratado de cambiarlo y de imponerle sus manías. Al principio la relación va bien, pero, inevitablemente, se repite la misma situación enfermiza tantas veces vivida: el afán de control, la dependencia, los intentos de cambiarse mutuamente; en suma, todo lo que no tiene nada que ver con el amor.
