Alejandro Sanz estuvo casado con la modelo y actriz mexicana Jaydy Michel, con quien tiene una hija llamada, Manuela Snchez Michel, nacida en 2001. Sanz y Michel se casaron en Bali el 30 de diciembre de 1999, pero este matrimonio no fue reconocido legalmente en cualquiera de sus pases de origen, la pareja se divorci en 2005. Despus de descubri que Sanz tuvo un hijo llamado Alexander, con Valeria Rivera, una diseadora de moda de Puerto Rico.

Este ao, Sanz dio la bienvenida a su tercer hijo en Nueva York, de nombre Dylan (nacido en julio de 2011), es el primer hijo de su relacin con su actual novia y ex asistente, Raquel Perera. Teniendo en cuenta que Alejandro Sanz lleva sangre flamenca en las venas, fue l quin eligi al virtuoso guitarrista flamenco, Paco de Luca, para ser el padrino de su hijo Dylan. Alejandro y Raquel son los padrinos de la hija de David Bisbal, Ella.
